Students in Ms. Duffy's CNA class showcased their scrubs today. Looking sharp, Mavericks!
Students in Mr. Roldan's physics classes tested the concept of impulse, which is a change in the momentum of an object. How does it work? Well, in essence, since an impulse is calculated by multiplying force by time, if students are able to increase the amount of time an egg spends experiencing the force of hitting the ground, then the egg will experience a smaller force since momentum is conserved. It would require the same impulse to stop the momentum if the egg experienced a large force in a smaller amount of time, so increasing the amount of time the egg spends hitting the ground ensures that it will not crack. Way to go, Mavericks!
